Every business card and voice memo files itself in the CRM

A startup accelerator was losing contacts and follow-ups in the gap between a conference and the CRM. We built a business-development assistant that closes that gap on its own.

01 The problem

Business cards, hallway voice memos, meeting notes, conference recaps. The raw material of business development piled up faster than anyone could process it.

So contacts went uncaptured and follow-ups went unsent. The relationships were real; the system to hold them was not.

02 The approach

We built a BD assistant that lives in Slack.

Forward it anything, a photo of a card, an audio memo, a note, and it reads it, extracts the people, enriches them, files them in the CRM, writes a relationship dossier, and drafts a follow-up in the team’s voice.

03 What we built

  • Slack-based intake for any format: photos, audio, notes, email
  • Business-card OCR and voice-memo transcription
  • Contact extraction, enrichment, and automatic CRM records
  • A relationship dossier generated for every contact
  • Personalised follow-up drafts and temperature-based reminders
  • A 47-step pipeline doing all of it with no manual entry

04 The outcome

  • No contact is lost between an event and the CRM
  • Follow-up drafts are ready before anyone sits down to write them
  • Business development runs on a system, not on memory
